UVLayout vs Pelt Mapping in 3ds Max

I was just curious, what advantage UVLayout has over pelt mapping feature in 3ds Max?

Just try it. Or at least look at the example videos. If you like Pelt mapping - stick with it. If you are looking for more robust UVW unwrapper with a coupe of unique features: http://www.uvlayout.com/try/

uvlayout is far superior then pelt mapping, it is very handy with complex unwraping job, in 3dsmax you cant hide mesh parts in unwraping modifier, so some time you feel weird to senecting overlaping mash parts. UVLayout rocks as it has ideal method for detaching each mesh before unwraping and it saves time a lot!
