Not a feature or anything like that, but i'd really like to see UVLayout optimized for better performance.
I was very impressed when I saw it working on a more powerful machine, but have just found after loading it onto my laptop that it's running at a nearly-unusable framerate (2-4fps). Seeing as its only running a Radeon200m GPU I can understand that its far from the traditional PC used for modeling, but at the same time has always worked well for Max and decently enough in Z-Brush and Mudbox. |

Frame rate would be a combination of CPU, GPU and the heaviness of the model you're trying to flatten. In fact, because its doing quite a lot of calculations in the flattening process, your CPU speed is probably more critical than the GPU performance.
Anyway, guess what ... I'm working on optimized flattening right now! I'm about half-way through the prototype code, then there will be some time fine-tuning, and of course I'll be on holidays for a couple of weeks, so I doubt this will be ready for another few weeks. But at least you know that something is on its way.

Hey Phil, will license orders placed get fulfilled while you're on holiday? I'll be looking to lock in that nice pre-order price in the next few weeks.
p.s. Sorry for leaving you hanging on the dualview issues. I've been incredibly busy with all manner of things not related to modeling, so I haven't had an opportunity to follow up. I'll let you know after I purchase it if the problems persist and try to help squash it.\
Thanks |

Yes, but I'll only be checking email once a day most likely, instead of all day, and so the issuing of ether licenses and shipping of dongles will probably be a day or so slower than usual.
