IM havin issues with obj's that i have unwraped in uvlayout and broght back into XSI 5.11. Basically they are coming in with all kinds of crazy lookin artifacts all over with flickering all over the place...and the polys are not inverted either.. It also creates some crazy lookin clipping plane so i cant seem to locate the .obj except for framing it through selecting it in XSI explorer. Anyone got any clue waht this is? I also tried this in max and it is also comin in a little funky the obj flickers also but not as bad as XSI. Whats the deal here. I have never run into this behavior with .obj's before.. Its usually never an issue.

ok i found out whats goin on.. for some reason the .obj's exported from uvlayout come in MASSIVE in scale. Thats why they are flickering and showing artifacts...why is this? What can I do to stop this behavior? I need the .obj's to be the exact scale and in exact position in world space as they were exported in.

Try using Update instead of Save. What you do then is select the original OBJ file written out by XSI, and UVLayout will create a copy of that with only the UVs changed; the geometry coordinates will be untouched.
