I am relatively new to UVLayout. I wanted to know if it's possible to save a file as a project in order to complete in a separate session. When I close my work and reopen, everything has been dropped into UV edit. Is there a way to have only the shells on which I've worked show in the editor upon reopen?

If you save as UVL format files, then all your work is preserved (including shell locking, various edge tags etc). Use the Tmp 1 to 5 buttons to quickly save in this format (new ones overwrite old ones), or the E button to save without overwriting.

But also check your Save preferences. Here's the one you want to turn-off ...

Quote:
Set All UVs on Save
Normally only flattened polys will be saved with UVs. Enabling this preference will force UVLayout to assign a planar projection to any unflattened polys when the mesh is saved out to OBJ files.

It should be off by default, but maybe got turned on by accident or was on by default in an earlier version?
