|
|
Hi
I notice that there is no obvious way to change the tiles aspect ratio. Is there a hidden way to do it?
I ask because I'm printing the flattened Uv's out and it'd be great if there was a way of packing them in a tile with an A3 aspect ratio for example.
cheers

You cant change the square, but you can pack to a mask image by ticking the "Use Trace Mask" option in the Pack tool, then load a greyscale image using the Trace button under the Display panel.
There's an example here ...
http://www.uvlayout.com/doc/Example:_Pack_Mask
If you then Render out the packed UVs, the output image will still be square, but it'll have all white down the side and is easily cropped. In our in-house version we have an automatic cropping to A4 option on the render tool, so I'll have a look at putting that in the released version.
