The Ed view is used initially to cut up your 3d mesh, but once all pieces have
been dropped down into UV space, its no longer needed.

ok.. I think its because I gave a general side projection on my mesh before editing UVs in UVLayout.. thats probably why I never had the option to go in the ed menu ...
I jsut saw that you can reset it before you open the file too ..great..
thanks for your awnser...
I have another question
1 : ,,is it possible to hide some of the poly .. I have a uge model and unfortunatly some poly are overlaping each other wich make it really hard to cut..
2 : on my UV .. I have like 2 poly missing.. Im trying to weld those 2 small face taht were detach from the projection.. I cant find a way to weld it back.. W dosent work .. neither shift M ,,,,there are yellow edges arround theses two small detached faces ..
thanks for your time ! |

You can use the H hotkey to hide parts of the mesh. Use H-U to undo the hide.

It looks to me like those two faces would still be in Ed space, not yet dropped down,
so they dont have any UVs to weld to. Go back to Ed space, hit Home to center the
view on all visible polys, and see if you can see them there.
