I have just gone to flatten a UV and its not displaying the green, red, blue system anymore. Its totally white. How do i make it revert back?. I have tried looking in the display / colour section and tried a few options in there but nothing is working?

You said you tried various options already, but just in case, the one that turns on the colored shading is the "Error" option in the Display panel.

If that doesn't help, try saving your model into a UVL file (just clicking one of the Tmp buttons will do that) then roload, and things will get reset to normal behavior.
