Does UVLayout currently support creating new material groups from selections, or is this a feature that is being considered? Or simply renaming existing groups or materials?

Many time my modeler exports .obj with generic grouping names, such as Group0245 or has no material zones set. I would like to be able to rename Group0245 as Head and then assign a material, such as headMAT or somesuch.

As it stands, I often have to use another UV editor to rename my groups or create material groups, but would rather keep it all within UVLayout.

Thanks in advance for your reply Smile

Not currently, but I dont think it would be too hard to add something like that. I'll try and get something into the next release for you.
