Hello everybody !
I'm very new in using UVLayout and here is my first real problem :
I can't straighten edges!
I've followed the video tutorial focusing on this, I can set anchor, pin points, but when I try to straighten my edge, nothing happens.
when I hit Shift-S nothing happens, and when I double hit S, I only got the Stack menu.
Am I doing something wrong ?
I'm using UVLayout on OSX 10.9.
Thanks by advance for your help ! |

Anchor points are not mandatory if you just want to straighten an edge, they just help to line things up (e.g. if you want vertical or horizontal straight edges).
Anyway, you didn't mention the single S key, so that might be what you are missing? Aim the mouse pointer at a boundary point, tap the 'S' key, and that point/UV should turn magenta. Do the same on another point on the boundary, then aim the mouse point at any boundary point between them, then use Shift-S to straighten between the two magenta points. You can then move either of the magenta points and that boundary will stay straight the whole time.
By the way, if your final aim is to make a rectangle, then consider using the 'R' key instead. Its a lot less work than setting up anchor points and doing edge straightening with the 'S' key.
Hope that helps!

Thank you for your Answer Phil !
I managed to do some straightening ! Still not clear but I made it.
I've got another question, is there a way to save symmetry tagged polys ?
I can't find a way to save it, it's very annoying ! |

If you save your object as a UVL file, then all the symmetry tagging should be saved as well. When you reload that UVL file it'll appear as though there's no tagging, but click the Symmetry "On" button to make it all visible again.
