If I buy an ether license today and buy a new PC down the road, is the license
transferable to the new system with it's new MAC address?

People buying ether licenses have the option of a pair of 6monthly temp
licenses for the first year, which would allow you to switch machines for
free a couple of times. Also, if you know your new PC is arriving say in
a couple of months, let us know when you order the license and we can
generate a temp license for that duration.
