Hi, Any help as to why display trace is not displaying jpg?

My jpg is 512x512, the background turns white in uv mode but does not display the map, and in 3d view it does not display the map, instead it displays a generic gray color.

Please help,
Stephany

Is it OK if you email me the JPEG you're trying to load? It sounds like my jpeg loading code maybe isn't reading that file properly.

Hi Phil!

Thank you for your help, attached to this reply is the jpg I am trying to load w/ display trace. Ultimately this map used in maya will be this same version but 4K.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the jpeg! I can confirm that it doesn't display correctly for me either, so I'll need to fix my jpeg reading code.

I was able to read it though if I loaded it into GIMP then saved it out as a new file ... try doing that with any other paintbox or image manipulation program as a temporary work-around.

Fixed! UVLayout can now read EXIF formatted JPEG files (see below).

I hope to do a beta release next week sometime, so you'll be able to get that from your uvlayout.com Support Extras page when its been uploaded.

Thanks Phil!
I downloaded gimp and saved it out as a tga and that fixed the problem. I look forward to the next update!
