One thing I find really annoying in UVLayout is how hitting the F key when not over a shell, causes a menu to appear down the bottom. You have to hit enter to continue. This happens to me a lot when I am relaxing smaller objects that move from under the mouse while I am holding down F.

Is there a way to make it just do nothing when I press it over empty space or do I just have to live with it?

Thanks,

Rhys.

Try using Space-F instead of F by itself. If you do that, the shell keeps on flattening until you tap space to stop; you don't need to hold down any keys while its flattening, so if the shell drifts from under the cursor, its not an issue.
