|
|
I don't understand why I can't export my model from UVlayout, here's my file .uvl and my model. obj base.
Having thought it was a story of preferences I reinstall my version v2.04.01 Pro
but apparently that's not it, my version worked until now ... need help fast!
...so I realized that I couldn't export. obj file..... I even test torus.uvl provides.
The files are exported, but no weight 0 size identical to other tests as well as files of old projects, where it worked well
I hope there will be a solution to this problem
(sorry for my english) |

Thanks for uploading the files ... unfortunately, everything worked OK here. I was able to load the UVL file, and could use both the "Save" and "Update" buttons to export the flattened mesh as OBJ.
Try saving your OBJ files to a folder with a really simple path (e.g. C:/Temp) and see if that makes any difference. If it works, then maybe there's something odd about the name of the folder you've been trying to save into?

Hi Phil!
I solved my problem that was I used the wrong command of the soft, in fact I export my model on the desktop with the command "Pattern>" Save Target Morph OBJs"
then it must be exported by the command "save " and choose "filter"!
thank you for return so quickly Phil and I like to use UVlayout even if I find the interface not very comfortable !!!...
cheers

Ahhh, I see what your problem was now, and agree that its not entirely obvious how to save out an OBJ file just by looking at the file Save window.
What I've just done is added a new filter menu so you can easily select "*.obj", and then if you type a name in the path below, it'll automatically add the ".obj" extension if you forget to add it yourself.
This will be in the next update, whenever that happens.
