|
|
The texture repainting used to work perfectly in the past, now I get ugly black lines and spots in the repainted files. Reducing the Bleed value reduces the bug somewhat, but even at 0 it's still there.
It seems 9.04 was the last build that worked fine for repainting, the versions after that all have problems.
Am I doing anything wrong or is it really a bug? |

I haven't tested the repaint for a while, so it sounds like a bug!
I'll have a look later this week and will update here with new info.

I tested in both the Windows and Linux builds from 2.09.03 up to the current, and everything looked OK in the one mesh I repainted.
Are you able to email me some sample files that generate the black lines/spots? I'd need the original OBJ and texture and a file with the new UVs.

Hi!
Sorry for getting back to you so late, I hadn't needed the repaint feature for a while and forgot to check back here.
The issue is still there, although a bit differently. Now it creates thin black lines, leaves large parts of the map empty and generally misplaces the texture.
I've attached some files that show the bug very clearly.
It's a stocking. There are 2 versions with different UVs in the foot area.
Stocking UV aux.obj <- has alternate UVs
Stocking.jpg <- texture made for the aux obj file, needs to be transferred to:
Stocking UV main.obj <- this is the file with the final UVs
I've also included a repainted file made with build 9.04 (which is correct) and the repaint result I get with build 10.03 (which is unuseable). |

Thanks for the files ... they helped a lot, as when I was testing with my own meshes, it was working fine.
So this has been fixed now, and a new installer will be ready in a week or two when I release v2.11.00.
