How would I load multipule objects into UVLayout? For "game development".

Basically I want to have many objects all mapped to the ONE bitmap, but have there polygons mapped to different areas of the map.

Is the only way to "attach" them in my 3d app into a single object, UVmap it then "detach them" in my 3D app while preserving the mapping?

Or is there a way to load multipul objects into UVlayout and edit them as if they are a single object?

If it is Maya or 3dsmax, just send multiple objects to UVL with scripts available for them.

As furash helpfully mentioned, have a look at the import plugins here ...

http://www.headus.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=13

They make it easier to move single and multiple objects in and out of UVLayout.

Otherwise you'll need the latest UVLayout (v2.10.00). The release notes are here ...

... and there's a demo video for the new import function here ...
