So I uv'd one half of my my model thinking I'd be able to mirror what I did on one half to the other side (I realized I should've just been running symmetry from the beginning). However I haven't been able to find a way to do this, (I would also like those mirrored uv tiles to be offset in the V direction so they aren't just sitting on top of my other uv's. Does anyone know how this can be done?

Hello,

Yes, its recommended to start with the Symmetry editing turned on, but if you forget, you can still use the Copy UVs tool ...

So to do that, go to the "3D" view, then click the "Copy UVs" button, then left mouse button click on one edge in the already flattened mesh, then click on the same edge in the unflattened mirror half, then tap space and the UVs should be copied over. To get the copied shells in the tile above, set the V offset to "1".

See image below for the before and after. I realize now with testing this that there is one slight bug ... the V copied shells are actually flipped in the U direction. I must have done all my testing with U copies only!

Phil
