Is it possible to lock marked selections when running the flatting shell tool so those selections remain exactly how they are ?

When at present I run the flatten shell tool, after adjusting vertices on the UV shell those vertices shift, this is what I want to prevent hence the question above.

This is the part I want to straighten within UV Layout, I've tried the straight edge tools without much success ?[/img]
