Hello Phil, here I am again...

I think something went really bad with the latest release in the extras page. I haven't had time to test the repaint stuff (not yet but i think I will later today), BUT this new release crashes everytime I try to use the pack all button / shortcut.

http://www.screencast.com/t/MMGb0FWTBRQy

Will try to test the repaint stuff and then will go back to the previous release that was very stable.

Just to let you know Smile

Orlando.

So I tested the repaint stuff and is working for the most part. I think it's only doing odd things when using the offset (1st values).

Did some tests and here are the results:

The original UVs:

And the new UVs:

Now the tests:

1) Using tif files, starting at u0_v0:

2) Using exr (thanks so much for this!!!) starting at 1001:

3) Using exr starting at u1_v1 (using offsets):

As you can see the first 2 test worked as expected, but the third one (using mudbox numbering convention) did some odd things. If you look carefuly, you'll see some of the shells actually worked fine, but others didn't.

I hope this test help you to track the issue, but so far it's looking amazing. Oh, and btw, one more thing: I couldn't find a way to turn off the display of the feedback hehe not a big deal of course, just thought maybe it's worth mentioning it.

Many thanks for your excellent testing! I'll study those results later today.

Regarding the pack crashing, I came across that one too yesterday and have fixed it already. If you turn "Show Tile Coverage" off then it should work OK. I broke that code while adding the naming feedback thing, so its would have only been in that latest beta.

Oh, and yes, I forgot about adding a button or key to turn off the feedback :) I'll do something about that before the release.

There's a new windows beta installer up at the usual spot. This one should fix the "u1_v1" repainting problem above, plus the pack crash. I ran out of time today to add an off switch for the tile name preview, but that'll be in the release for sure!

So I just released v2.08.01 "officially" ...

http://www.headus.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=6798#6798

It adds a "Show Tile Names" toggle in the Repaint panel area so you can switch the name previews on and off.

"Ha, that was fast"

I took a gamble that you'd found all the bugs in the new tools, so thought it was safe to release officially :) Anyway, as you know, if you do find any more, I can usually fix them pretty quickly.
