Is it possible to edit obj's with pre existing uv's? Like for example, if I originally unwrapped something in uv layout or max, and wanted to edit seems and layout of the uv's, is there a way to do it in uvlayout? |

Yep, if you load the OBJ with "Edit" selected in the Load Options window, then any existing UVs are loaded in as well as the shape, and then you can edit them.

And dont forget the WONDERFUL repaint tool! I LOVE it! (and it has become especially useful coupled with 3DS Max 2012 (the new conform feature where you can retopologise a trangulated/low rez model into a higher rez quad version) Still have to do re-texturing/re-cutting basically, but you can use repaint to help with the pre-viz UV alignment of the new version model. |

The repaint tool in 3dsmax 2012 i love I recently had to retexture a model of a dragon because I was converting it from 300 textures into one main texture to convert to .3ds format and used the repaint saved so much time. |
