Well the title says it all.
The Optimize tool doesn't seem to be working at all in 2.06.03. All the shells just turn kind of gray, but nothing happens. I figured maybe I was so good that my model didn't need any optimizing. Wink
But after roughing it up some and trying it with other models too, same result - it just doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Edit:
By the way, for those who don't know, that's not a typo. 2.06.02 is the latest finished release, but 2.06.03a is a beta still, I guess, but is in the Extras section in your account.

I cant duplicate the problem, and that's even with the "official" 2.06.03a release up on the Extras page (32bit Win7). In my day to day work I've been using what you could call the unreleased 2.06.03b, and have had no problems there either.

"turn kind of gray"

That sounds like the shells have been locked. The "Lock All" button is right above the optimize "Run For", so is it possible you accidentally hit that first?

Oh well, uh, no, I wasn't hitting the Lock All button, why would I do that?
I was hitting the Run For button, um, of course, just like I always have.

Uhh, but strangely enough it's all working fine now.
Move along people, nothing to see here. Embarassed

Thanks Phil. Very Happy

It could still be a real bug ... let me know if it happens again, and try Lock Clear next time to see if that helps at all.
