Hello,

Today I purchased UVlayout Hobby version and received my key for the activation shortly after.
After downloading and installing the most recent .dmg; the software did not start properly.

What happens is this : When I click start or drop an .obj file on the software icon, it displays the "Software is starting" warning properly yet no visible user interface gets launced and the .app in Activity Monitor gets to "Not responding" state

I downloaded and tried all 3 available .dmg versions on the site and faced the same issue with each no matter how many times I uninstall/reinstall.

I am using an OS X 10.5.8 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 duo machine.

Please help
Thank you

Do you have X11 installed? See the ReadMe.txt file in the DMG installer for details.

Also, have you dragged the UVLayout.app out of the installer into your Applications folder?

Thank you for the reply, I thought X11 was installed on 10.5 and up automatically, will check that (I hadn't done the OS installation myself this time)

Will let you know how it turns out.

Even if X11 is installed, sometimes it helps to start it yourself before trying to run UVLayout.

Apparently X11 was not installed, thank you for the heads up.
Since I don't have the OS installation discs it took my time but eventually found a stand alone installer for X11 2.4.0 and seems I have no problems with running UvLayout at the moment.

Thank you

Thanks for the update! I'll see if I can get that startup script to be a little more helpful, instead of just doing nothing if X11 isnt installed.
