I had an electrical outage this morning and when my computer came back on I opened the project I was working on and everything had turned from green to red in the uv window. When I try to optimize, it moves everything around and messes it up. What can I do now?

Here you can see the optimization on a small part of the project.

In this view my model is broken as well. Note how everything is moved around. Also my screenshots have been reset and are overwriting the others starting at 00001. It appears this project is hosed. I hope there is something that can be done to get it back. I have been working for months on it.

Now what I map is a different scale than what was mapped before. Here is a pic to show what I mean. The long thin object on the right should be the same as the one on the left.

It could be because of the "Set All UVs on Save" thing I've answered in another of your posting. Are you using OBJ files to save your work as you go? I'd recommend saving out to UVL files instead ... clicking the 1 to 5 Tmp buttons will do that as well. UVL files are UVLayout's own format, and the global scaling of UVs wont be affected if not everything is flattened.

To fix up what you already have, I'd undrop the negative UV geometry, make sure "Set All UVs on Save" is turned off, save everything back out to an OBJ and reload it.

Phil
