Triangles to Quads this something I would love to see added.


I know in 3ds Max a secret way is to explode the model slightly as this breaks up the polys into just quad angles. Then you can simply select the entire model in vertex mode and weld them back and all the triangles are deleted. If you have a select all pin corners and weld it would kill all the triangles. Does this make sense and can it be done with some clever UV layout programming?

Sorry, I don't quite get what you are after. A few people have asked for the ability to split quads into tris when they're flattening because it'll give them finer control over dart placement, but you're asking for the opposite. Is the problem that something in your work-flow is splitting all quads into tris, and you want them restored?
