Hello, I would like to know I have a object which has seams. Upon loading I checked off the weld box, all is fine the object loads. The problem I have is when I make another seam and then disconnect the parts of the object ("enter key") nothing it working is it because the object had seams and UV layout had to weld them ? And if so how can I solve this problem ?
Thank You |

It sounds like you are loading an object with existing UVs and you have selected "Edit" in the load options windows ... is that correct? If the mesh already has UVs, then you cant cut the pieces up in the 3D view with the "enter" key detach hotkey anymore, but you can still do it in the UV view by "g" key painting polys, then hit enter on the selected regions to detach them.
