Just figured out how to do this. If you want to make a cut without distortion, under "segment Marked Polys" have "Fast Weld" switched on. Works like a charm! |

Something I forgot to mention, I have also checked the mesh for non-manifold geometry. As far as I'm aware my mesh should have
- no n-gons
- no flipped normals
- no non-manifold geometry.

I figured out that I can export multiple objects out from Maya as a single Obj, do my UV work, and then import back into Maya and than separate so I no longer need that question answered. |
