We use some software that is very sensitive to any overlaps.

We hope to have a robust overlap detection tool in maya soon but in this case, I used UVLayouts overlap tool to check the model and it r ...

Hello,

I found a piece of geometry that the overlap detection doesn't pick up on.

On the first udim there are two triangles, the UVs are aligned to both horizontal and vertical. I tried it with ...

Hey,

Somewhere along the line the optimize tool has changed, by that I mean that the length of time it spends solving the wrap has been reduced, and adding more minutes has no affect either. For pa ...

Hello,

I have an asset that needs very large shells, they are long ropes which I had scaled to be proportionately scale so that the width of the rope is the full udim in U.

I just tried to send ...

I would suggest working on smaller chunks of the model over trying to send larger sections.

I always recommend people work on smaller chunks unless there is something that really needs to be packed ...

Hey Phil,
This is becoming a real problem for us. We have some artists continuing to work not knowing that the tool window has closed, so they end up fully uving something then realizing its all for ...

It would be great to see the program handle packing shells and boxes to multiple udims better. Personally I would like to see the automatic pack function use the set size scale, and pack everything ov ...

Could we have one algorithm searching for all shells of a continuous mesh and packing them, similar to how the segment polys ...

Hi,

So I've noticed that the flatten out tool doesnt work as expected if you use it on a shell that has had the LOCAL scale operation applied to it.

This could be 1 rather than 100.

If you put 0.5 into it, you will be moving shells half a udim.
2 to move two udims over, 0.25 a quarter and so on.
