How do I select seams with green lines ? Currently I'm doing red lines. Correct me if i'm wrong but green lines seem to unwrap the object as a whole not as seperate pieces like with red lines ?

In UV layout can you not seam everything back together again once you have made your UVs? Just so everything is how it was once the object was first imported?
