To pick slices, or interpolated polylines and splines, first make sure that the Pick mouse action is selected (see Figure 268).

Figure 268. Pick Mouse Action

To toggle a line (i.e. pick an unpicked line or unpick a picked line), move the mouse pointer over the line and click the left mouse button once. To just pick a line, click the middle mouse button, and to just unpick, click the right mouse button.

To pick or unpick a group of lines, hold down a mouse button and drag out a box over the group of lines. Use the left, middle or right mouse buttons to either toggle, pick or unpick respectively. Be careful, when you are picking a chained slice via the box method, only the links covered by the box are changed.

Once a line has been picked, it's drawn in black.

NOTE for users with 2 button mice: hold down the <Shift> key to turn your second (middle) mouse button into a third (right) mouse button.

To push all picked lines to the Work layer, select W. To push picked lines to the Temp layer, select T. And to push to the Out layer, select O.

Changing Direction

Figure 271. Changing Direction

As far as CySlice is concerned, the direction of each slice line is irrelevant. But when imported into some modeling software, line direction could be important. You can reverse the direction of the picked slice lines by selecting Reverse (see Figure 271).

Figure 272. Direction Corrected

The direction of each slice line is indicated by a cross at the start, and an arrow at the end (see Figure 272). Small markers are visible by default, but you can make them larger by typing <a>. Switch them off by typing <a> again, and type <a> one more time to bring the small markers back.

Deleting

[no zoom]

To delete slices, or polylines and splines, pick them and select Delete. If you make a mistake and want to get them back, select Oops. Only one level of undo is supported though.
